Jill Dickerson loves to read. She prefers books to E-readers since she likes to fold a page’s corner down or use a bookmark to mark her place. With her busy family, work, and church life, Jill rarely finds enough time to read. She particularly enjoys books by Frank Peretti, Beth Moore, Anne Rice, and Stephen King, as well as the Twilight series by Stephenie Meyer.

She and her husband have been married for 23 years. They have two sons: Jack and Kendall. Jack is Cuddlebug in her picture-book series.

Jill has spent 12 years as a teacher assistant in a public-school system in several different schools. Before that, she was a long-term substitute teacher.

As Team Mom for her son Kendall’s football team, the Yadkinville Hornets, Jill has been very active. However, she’s a little disappointed that she’s never received a tiara. She really enjoys working with the kids on the team, many of whom have been in classes she’s taught.

Though Jill says she isn’t very good at it, she loves gardening. Her son took carpentry in school and cut the wood to help her build a homemade greenhouse. She and her family also have a pool and enjoy swimming.

The author has an older brother whose family is serving in South Africa as missionaries. Brittany and Drew in the Cuddlebug series are their children. Jill also has a younger sister. It was Jill who was the rough-and-tumble tomboy of the bunch. Her hair was as straight as a stick, and her mom did her best to curl it without much success. When Jill was growing up, she played ball and ran on the track team.
